A Multigenerational Adventure

Our recent family trip to Morocco was an unforgettable journey that brought together three generations, from age 10 to 72. With the new direct flight from Newark, NJ to Morocco, traveling to this enchanting country has never been easier.

Fez: A Feast for the Senses

After a night in Casablanca, we embarked on a scenic drive to Fez, stopping at a beautiful winery for our first taste of traditional Moroccan tagine. The highlight of Fez was undoubtedly our tour of the Medina (old city), where we explored the vibrant souks (markets) and witnessed the ancient craft of leather tanning at the famous tanneries

Rabat: Where History Meets Modernity

En route to Rabat, we marveled at the Roman ruins of Volubilis, reminiscent of the Italian countryside. In Rabat, we indulged in a delicious lunch at the Fairmont's rooftop restaurant, enjoying breathtaking views of the city. Our day concluded with a fascinating tour of the Mosque and Kasbah.

Marrakech: A Tapestry of Experiences

Our expert guide, Hassan, led us through the labyrinthine of souks and artisan workshops, ensuring we found the finest craftsmen. I even discovered the perfect light fixture for our home, with the artisans offering customization and reliable shipping to the US. It is important to make sure you are buying from credible shops to ensure you receive the products you purchased! A few of our favorite moments: A sunset sidecar tour through the Medina, complete with rooftop drinks as the sun set behind the illuminated mosque Family spa day with a traditional Hammam experience A 70th birthday celebration for my mom in the Agafay Desert, featuring a traditional Gnawa band, delicious dinner, and dancing A hike through the High Atlas Mountains, visiting Berber villages and enjoying an authentic meal prepared with a local family .
